The double-hung windows in the kitchen have coil balancers that failed because the coil ripped.
The coil is cut as shown in the attached picture, and I would like to purchase the same component. Could you please provide the product name? Thank you.

Hello, Chris. If the only thing that broke is the top coil spring, then you can replace it with our Series 171. This has a longer tab that will allow it to reach past its bottom partner and allow it to screw in.
If you replace one spring, though, you really ought to replace all of them on the same window. You never want to mix old and new springs in my experience. For its bottom partner, see our Series 170. I'd suggest replacing these on both sides of the window.
As long as the plastic parts are undamaged they can be reused.
That would depend on what number is on the original spring. It should be printed on the band near the screw hole.
If there is no stamp, or if it's too faded to read, then you're going to need to weigh your sash. If you tell me the precise weight, down to the ounce, then I can tell you which weight option to pick.
That tells me that your springs are calibrated to hold 10 pounds each. The trouble with that is that we don't sell a version of these springs that can carry that much weight, individually. Ours cap out at 9 pounds per spring.
Would it be possible for you to verify the weight of the sash? Knowing that will allow me to determine whether or not you can get away with using one of ours. There is a small amount of wiggle room, but I'll need to know the precise weight before I say for sure.
