Those codes, unfortunately, are just shorthand for certain specifications like the length of the balance and weight of the window sash.
Sometimes 35-9 corresponds to a 36" balance and a very heavy sash, but you have to weigh your sash and measure the metal bar to be sure of that. Similarly, sometimes 29-6 corresponds to a 30" balance with (still) a relatively heavy sash, but the same thing applies to this code as the last one: you need to weigh and measure to be sure of that. Every balance on our site has a chart in the product description that tells you which weight "option" to choose based on the sash. Being that the code relates only to the length of the balance and the weight of the sash, it doesn't tell you which balance to actually choose; balances aren't marked with any identifier or product code like that. You'll have to measure your bottom plastic "shoe," as shown below, to tell the difference between the two balance Series that we offer with wings on both sides. A 1" bottom shoe belongs to the Series 380 and the 1-3/32" shoe is for Series 385 balances. Choose a Series by measuring your shoe, then select the length (for example, S385-30 would be a 30" Series 385 balance), then select a weight option to place the item in your cart.
