I need a cross reference for a balance spring. The numbers on my original part are as follows
26 4 GU CMC 4
it is out of a Milgard window.

Hi, John. I can't say what style of balance this might be without seeing the part. If your balance is 1/2" wide, for a non-tilt window, check this out: is your balance one of these, or no?
