base to round king shower doors. Measures 36" on a side

Hey,

Base is developing cracks. Is it realistic to just replace the base, or is the whole assembly a goner?

Thanks,

Brian

Hey, Brian. Don't worry, we won't add your info to any mailing list. I'm honestly not sure how to even do that, so your'e safe.

As for the cracks in your door base, it'll come down to whether or not the original maker of the door still sells this series. You'd have to contact them directly. There's a good chance you'll need an all new setup simply because shower door manufacturers discontinue a series of shower almost as quickly as they introduce them, which makes replacing individual components very difficult. Because of this, they may try to push an all new shower on you.

If so, maybe check with local suppliers who carry this kind of shower. They may be willing to part with just the base by itself. If not, they may have some old trick that could help seal up those cracks.
