block and tackle replacement?

So my current block and tackle window balance has failed. Saw that your site recommends a newer system. My current balance is a CMC (Caldwell) 27", 5/8" depth, with winged plastic guides. Window sash weight is 19.6 pounds.

We may be able to help, yes. However, before I recommend anything, can you show me a photo of the balance in question? Caldwell makes a ton of different styles. I'd like to see the top end, bottom end, the hook and pulley, and finally the stamp itself. We can then check our inventory for a good match.
