broken balances

Question

I Have replacement tilt windows called Monarch by Lockheed, purchased and installed in 2004. The balances look like mini block and tackle connected to a spring. The spring is at the top of the channel and at the bottom there is a "cam?" that a peg on the window locks into.see pictures. The "cam" appears to have broken so the peg from the window comes out and stays down when trying to open the window. cThe length is 28". the channel cover says "28C BSI.

Hello, Steve. it sounds like you need a new pivot shoe. Yours is similar to our 15-188, but you should carefully review the dimensions we show for this product to confirm they match.

If you also need the balance, I need a clearer picture of it. Your description is a little peculiar, though I could just be visualizing it wrong.
