broken handles on a few windows

Handy Person from Princeton, MN
I have a home built in 1970 with awning windows with a very simular lever lock as your 39-070 model. However, mine do have an angled pivot arm on the farthest out bars when opened. I am attaching a photo of what I am talking about. If you do not sell the angled version is there a way that I can reuse my extension rods on your handle, and just swap them out? I can get you better pictures in the morning if you need them.

I'm afraid I don't understand what you're referring to. Looking at your photos, your old operator appears identical to our 39-070. Can you please clarify exactly what the difference is? Seeing a clearer image of the difference may also help.

Attached is another angle on the window lever assembly I have. This will demonstrate to you what I am trying to explain as to the angled outreach of the bars conneted from the lever to the sash. Let me know if yours bend like these. Thanks

Hey there, maybe I can help. I'm very familiar with this operator and how to install it and can confirm that ours bends up the same degree once it's installed and connected to the sash. This is an intentional design feature and ours should operate in pretty much the same way as you show here.

So your saying that after I install these it is easy to bend that angle into it?

You don't really have to bend anything, it'll just happen through normal operation. All you need to do is screw it to the sill and connect it to the bracket and it'll be ready to go.

Ok great! I'll try it and let you know.
