Hi Bill,

Thanks for reaching out! The black plastic piece you are searching for is the track slider from the window hinge. Unfortunately, this is not something we sell separately and we aren't quite sure that they are available elsewhere. That said, the entire window hinge would need to be replaced.

I'm happy to recommend a replacement for the hinge but I'll need to know the measurement for the length of the track installed to the still to get started.

Please feel free to reach out with any other questions.

to clarify you want the measurement of the vertical piece fastened to the window frame that the broken piece slides up and down in

Yes, that is correct. The hinge should look something like our 36-048 2-Bar Hinge Set. The track would be the part that measures 10". See the diagram below for reference.

here we go - your 10" is the same - the 7 5/8 is the same - 3/4 wide the same - 1/2 wide the same - but screw holes are different but if this may work i will just drill new holes ??  if sold seperately i don't need the 10" piece ??

Hello,

Yes, you'll need to drill new installation holes to install this replacement hinge set. They are sold as a complete set.

It would be advised to replace the entire hinge to ensure they will work properly.
