Here are pics on my broken parts. The metal piece seems to be 17 inches and the "shoe" a little over one inch I think.

Please see the S395-17 channel balance as a replacement option. There should be a number stamped on the metal channel that will indicate the spring strength stamp option needed. If there are no markings, you will need to weigh the window sash and compare to the strength chart on the product page to choose the correct option.

Lauren. Thk you much. The numbers on mine for weight say 1620 then ?? And then B.S.I.

Does that help you direct me to the proper size for my aluminum window ?

Yes, you will need the S395-17 with a 1620 stamp option when adding to your cart from the product page. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
