certainteed sash lock for vinyl casement window

A handy person from California says:
my lock broke in the closed position. Is my only option to cut it off in order to replace it?
Included is a picture of the broken one and another window that is still working in the open position.
What part do I need to order once I get the broked lock off?

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately, yes: the only way to get the broken lock off is to cut it off. You could try and 'force'the hold handle back into place to see if you can kind of struggle it open, but if that fails cutting it is your only hope. See the 38-091, 38-092, as well as the 38-278. See if this matches what you need.
