Hello,

We'd be happy to help but we'll need a little more information to assist. We'd need to see a picture of your balance removed from the window, as well as the pivot shoe if you need to replace that as well. The length of the balance and any stamp numbers on it will also help us point you in the right direction. Thank you!

THERE IS NO BALANCER ON THE UPPER SASH JUST THAT PLASTICK PIVOT SHOE I THINK YOU CALL IT. The lower sash have the spring you are referring to but the app sash on these certianteed windows don seem to gave that ballancer or spring that helps you lift. The part, Pivot shoe, I believe does not connect to anything. It just slides up and down the track by friction I believe.

Your balance may be missing in the top sash since these don't work with friction. They need a spring to operate, which is why your top sash slams down when you unlock it. We'll need to see the shoe removed. It's probably our 15-192 but I don't want to guess since identifying the pivot shoe correctly is necessary for choosing the correct springs and related hardware that you'll need to repair your window. Thank you.
