2740 option for a 12-1/2 lbs. sash?

My current balance has a stamp of 17 4 KP Caldwell, which I figure is for the 2740 sash. I weighed the sash and it weighs 12-1/2 lbs. Should I still order the 2740 or something lighter? Thanks.

If your balance is 28" long and your sash is only 12.5 pounds, then the 2740 option would be way too strong. I recommend dropping down to the 2720 option. This carries 9 through 13 pounds, which should be perfect for your sash weight.

You are out of the 2740 and the sash weighs 20 pounds would it be OK for me to go with the 2750 thank you

The 2750 will likely be too strong. You may struggle to close the window, and it could even drift up by itself.

I'm very sorry that the 2740 is out of stock. Due to the public health crisis, we are not able to give an ETA as to when these will return. I can only promise that we're doing our best to get these back on the shelves as soon as we possibly can.
