Window Balance 28 3 HL Caldwell

Question

I have a singe hung window non tilt that the channel balances are bad. Also there is a plastic (sash glide/stopper) located at the top of each window that prevents the channel balance from passing. The identification marks found on the channel balance is 28 3 HL caldwell.

You should consider the S390-29 and the S351-29 with a "2830" stamp option.

If you have no wing-shaped tabs on the top or bottom attachment of the balance, then you can measure the bottom shoe to tell between the Series 390 and Series 351. The 1" shoe belongs to Series 351, and the 1-1/8" shoe belongs to Series 390. Your metal channel should measure 29" in length, and if you remove your window sash, you'll find that it weighs 16 to 23 pounds, if the stamp option is correct.
