Trying to figure out correct replacement unit for weight of sash
jeld-wen window, single hung, 36 x 54.
looking at new channel balances, series 385, 23"
Will they work for me?

Hello, thank you for writing in! Our channel balance series are determined by the plastic fittings at either end of the metal channel. If your plastic fittings match that of the Series 385 in style and dimensions, then you would need the S385-23 with the 2230 stamp option. However, keep in mind that the Series 385 and Series 380 are quite similar in appearance and you will need to measure your bottom fitting in order to verify if it is in fact the Series 385.
