channel balance too deep

Question

You state the width of the balance is 1/2" on the S351-28 but I'm more concerned with the depth. My old balances are the 1/2" width but are only 1/2" in depth also. Tried to buy locally and width is ok but depth is closer to 10/16th" making it so I can't get my window back into the proper position. What is the depth of the S351-28 balance?

Our balances are 9/16" x 5/8", but usually the reason why a balance won't fit back in a window is because of the size of the fittings, specifically the bottom shoe. That is a very important factor to consider.
