S751-18 channel balance with 16HD stamp?

My channel balance is stamped J 16HDB and is 18in. long for an old late 80's Norco tilt wood window. Looks similar to the 18" Series 751 Channel Balance
Product Code: S751-18. Will this one work?

It's possible that our Series 751 is a match, yes, but I can't say for sure based on your stamp. All that tells me is how strong the spring is and the length of the metal channel.

Speaking of the length, though, yours should be 17" long, judging by the stamp, not 18". Double check just to make sure.

It definitely is 18" long and is stamped J 16 HDB.

Bizarre! In that case, please give us the weight of the window so that we can determine the proper stamp for an 18" balance. Thank you!

The weight of the window is 10 lbs 8 oz.

Great, thank you. In that case, I recommend our S751-18 channel balance with a 17R option. Two balances with that option will carry a window sash weight range of 10 through 17 pounds.
