channel balance

Question

I'm trying to figure out what channel balance I need. The length of the metal channel is 25 and 3/4 inches. The only thing I can find stamped on it are the numbers 25 2. It also says BSI. It looks like product code S385-25. I don't know how to tell the sash weight range I need or if this product will even work. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Doug: In order to determine which series balance you need, we need to see photos of both ends of your balance. Your stamp tells me you need to order a 26" length with a 2520 stamp option. To be completely certain of that, you can take the sash out of the window and weigh it.
