channel balance string or new channel balance?

Hello Swisco team!
1st off, thx for your helpfull video on removing my sash, which wasn't working. Turns out the string broke in one of the channel balalances. See photos. Do I need a new channel balance or can the string be replaced? This is a late 1990's alenco single hung aluminum window. Thanks in advance. Let me know if you need other data to determine replacement Part No. Also this window needs new black plastic corner caps as shown in last attached photo.

Thanks for contacting SWISCO. Unfortunately individual components of balances cannot be replaced; you will have to replace the entire balance. Based on the characteristic nylon attachments and the stamp on the metal channel, I suggest you take a look at our S395-28 Channel Balance, with a stamp option of 2740. You might want to confirm that the length of your metal channel (excluding the nylon attachments) is 28 inches just to be sure. Take a look and see what you think.
