channel balances

A home owner from Port St Lucie, Florida says:
I had a handyman who was trying to fix a window that would not open. He determined that the channel balance needs to be replaced. There is no markings on the original channel balance. The balance is 30 inches long. This house is about 15 years old. We looked online and we think that this is a Series 380 (15-005). If you can lend any assistance as to the proper part that I should order, I would greatly appreciate it.

At first glance, your balance does look like our Series 380 balance. You just want to confirm the measurements of your nylon fittings match up to the fittings that come assembled with the Series 380. On the metal portion of your balance should be some sort of stamping or making on it. Use that information when determining which option to choose. If there are no stampings or markings, you will need to weigh your sash on a scale and refer to the sash weight chart listed on the store page. Get back to us if you happen to have any other questions.
