channel window balance

Question

I need to replace a "2640 CF B.S.I. channel balance for a 1993-ish Viking vertical lift window. Actually, I'd like to replace both balances so I don't mix old and new. the sheet metal part of the balance is twenty seven inches long, 5/8" deep, 9/16" or 11/16" wide depending on whether you measure at the bottom or top, respectively. The plastic piece at the end with the double pulley is 1 & 1/16" deep with a maximum extension beyond the end of the sheet metal of 1/4". The plastic piece at the other end of the sheet metal channel is 1/2" deep, extending 3/4" beyond the metal channel end and having a width of 15/16" across the tabs.

Thanks for posting. It looks like your balance has wings or side tabs on the top fitting, but none on the bottom. Please confirm. If so, See our S395-27 Channel Balance. For a stamp option choose 2640.
