The spiral mechanism I removed is enclosed in a white plastic tube. The tube length is 25 inches and the width is 3/8 inch. The plastic tip is a white color, but the color choice for a S900-25 is either red or blue, no white is offered. The weight of the window sash is 17.9 pounds. Which color tip should I order?

Some older balance manufacturers used White tips. These are no longer made, but if your sash is only 17.9 pounds then either our Red or Blue tip option should work fine. Refer to the chart shown on our S900-25 store page for their exact ratings. It's ultimately up to you which you want to go with.
