circa 1950s steel window crank out Locking mechanisms

A quick learner from columbus, oh says:
House built in 1949, steel windows original, installed in breezeway. No markings on the hardware that are visible.

This is a very old style lock, but it's similar to our 38-001. Look over this part and let me know if you think you could get this to work as a substitute.
