coil window balance

A home owner from Camarillo, CA says:

I have a vinyl window mechanism that broke so I need two new coil balances (left and right) to repair it. I've attached two photos. The balance says 4R on it. Perhaps you can determine if I need a single coil or a double coil one. And I don't know if this one is the proper strength (weight) for the window. Please let me know what you advise for this one. Here are the details on the single sash window:

Sash Weight: 9 lbs

Height: 16-7/8"

Width: 18-7/8"

Depth: 1-1/2"

Please advise me on what to order.

Many Thanks,

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Your photos look a lot like our S140-4 quick-tilt assembly. One 4L and 4R on either side of the window will support a sash between 7-8.99 lbs. Thanks for posting!
