double hung windws. i weighed one window and it was 15 lbs. the spring that closest matches mine goes from 3-8lbs. have not seen a 15 lb spring. please explain

I'd be happy to help but I'll need more information. Can you show us photos of an undamaged pivot shoe, preferably removed from the window track? If we can identify the pivot shoe, that will tell us the coils and accessories that you'll need.
