concern for part 39-060

Attached find pictures of the " locking" mechanism that seems to be out of sync. When the window is closed the "hooks" should pull the window in to lock it, instead they are holding the window out .

This can be an issue with these older aluminum awning windows when they settle and become out of square. If you have another window in your house and it is working properly, I recommend you take a close look at how it operates to see if you could find the reason for it not locking correctly. There may be a pin or a clip that is missing that operates the hooks. If the hook just hits a little then try filling the length of the hook a little to clear the window. You can also try using a spray lubricant to loosen up the linkage on the sides of the window.
