I'm trying to confirm that this lock is an 82-244 part number. The Spring in mine broke so the hook no longer engages and I would like to replace the lock. Upon your confirmation I will order the part if it is correct.

I agree that our 82-244 looks very similar. The only way to confirm that, though, is to compare your dimensions to the measurements we show on the 82-244 store page.
