constant force spring

Question

Hello SWISCO Support Team,

The window constant force balance appears to be weakened. The sash is slowly drifting down, which suggests the balance has lost tension over time. To repair it properly, I plan to replace both balances on each side so the window operates evenly.

Do you carry these balance springs, along with the holders and pivot shoes if needed? I would need parts for three windows.

Hey there,

Thanks for your post! Your window balance is a jamb liner spring balance. Unfortunately, we cannot supply a replacement for it but we may be able to provide a replacement for the shoe.

Take a look at the dimensions for the 15-218 and the 15-220 to determine if either of these could work for the repair. They are both compatible with the 26-424 Pivot Bar. The dimensions can be found on the website.

Since this is a vinyl window, you'll need to reach out to the window manufacturer to inquire about your repair options.
