correct substitute of replacement window balancer

single hung Milgard window approx 45"x74" installed 25 years ago, need replacement window balancer (string broken), metal channel measures 30"L & approx 5/8"D x 9/16"W and stamped with "29 4 EQ Caldwell", not sure what is the correct substitute model to order from your web site, thanks for your help

Hello!

We're happy to help with this. Can you also show us a photo of the inside of the metal channel where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism? That'd be located in the middle of the balance's channel.

string snapped/broke, here are pictures of pulley, both ends of the spring & one end of the string

Thank you! Based on what I see here, you can use the S380-30 or S385-30 channel balance with the 2940 stamp option. The difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom shoe so you'll have to measure as shown below to determine the best match.
