crank out windows

A home owner from Goddard, KS says:
Our windows have wool pile that I am unable to remove. Do I have to take the window off the house in order to remove the pile?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

It depends on the windows. On many windows, you can just slide the wool pile out of the channel. On other windows, you'd have to remove the sash first. However there are yet more windows where the wool pile channel is sealed on the ends. This would require that you cut a little slot at the end from which you can pull the wool pile.

I'm not sure what your window is, so I cannot be 100% sure what you need to do. The video below may help give you some insight on what's common.
