What is the difference between Mod 82-002 and model 82-008?

Hi Ray. Our 82-002 locking hook is located toward the bottom of the handle, while the 82-008 locking hook is closer to the middle. This may see like a small difference, but it can be a deal breaker. The latch hook location must align with the slot in your door where it's meant to stick out.

The best way to determine whether you need the 82-002 or 82-008 is to examine your original set and see whether your latch is in the bottom or middle position.
