My handyman tells me he needs "clips" for this. Any ideas?

Take a look at our 39-558 Detach Clips, which attach to the end of the arms of the 39-239B Operator, as well as the 39-536 Pivot Slides, which the arms then connect to. See if one of these parts match what you need.
