What is the length of the latch and does it come in black and what is the width at the top? Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "length" of the latch. Can you clarify? At this time, it is not available in alternate colors. This type of handle is not used by storm door manufacturers like it once was.

In the picture you give the width but not how long the plate is. Thanks.

Ah, I see. We actually show the length in one of the alternate images found on the 40-138 store page. For future reference, most of our products have multiple images with more detailed information.
