door roller id

Quick Learner

These are 5 of 6 pictures I had taken. It appears to be an 1=1/2 inch steel roller

Can you help me identify a replacement roller please?

Let me know if you need any more info or pictures

Thank you

Hello, Christopher. We don't sell this exact roller but I am strongly reminded of our 81-004. Check it out and let me know if you think this will work for you, or if you had any questions.

Thank you Tom for your time.

I am concerned about the width. You see what I will call dimples or skirts in the third picture. They create a wider body than the 3/4 inch the tape shows in the last picture. I dont really think the length is crucial.

Can you tell me what brand or where I might get something closer to the width I have currently? Likely closer to 7/8 inch with the dimples. I am concerned the door may not stay centered and create closing issues and potentially stability issues from side to side.

Appreciate any further input.

Thanks again Tom

Maybe I can be of some assistance. I have come across your roller before and have some experience with it. I believe the dimples you're referring to are closer to 13/16". That would be only be 1/16" wider than the 81-004 roller.

I personally have used the 81-004 many of times in different patio doors and never seemed to have a problem with the width of the housing. I believe once you install the screw at the top of the housing and the screw at the end which holds the door together the roller should keep in place. If you find it is too loose to your liking you could thicken it up with duct tape.
