double hung window won't stay up

my spiral balances are 19.5 inches, 5/8 diameter and red color tip. can't find name or number of manufacturer, but the windows are vinyl and over 20 years old.

Thanks for posting. Are these tilt windows? If so, I'd recommend our S600-20 spiral balance. I believe this should work. Many manufacturers used to develop spiral balances that measured on the 1/2", but this hasn't been the case in a long time. We find rounding up in such instances to be a safe bet.
