dual arm crank for Hurd awning window

Home Owner from Creede, Co

I've a Hurd awning window. The glass in it is 17 x 17 inches. The crank handle is stripped inside the operator. The hole the crank operator goes into is 4 3/4 inches wide and the operator itself is 5 inches wide on the outside. When the window is open full way, the crank arms are about 11 inches long. When the whole mechanism is taken out of the window and the crank arms are distracted flat, they are about 16 inches long.

This house was built in 2002, so the mechanism was manufactured sometime before then. From my research, it appears I need SWISCO part 39-140 (dual arm crank, 16 inch) and part 39-114L (the handle that fits), both in cream, but I don't care what color if you don't have that in stock. Am I correct? If not, what do you suggest?

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. I agree with your assessment. The 39-140 awning operator looks like a good match, and the 39-114L handle is compatible with it. You should be good to go as long as the specifications align.
