emtek 322 door lock assembly latch spring.

Question

the latching spring on my enter 322 seems to have worn out. It doesn't seem to have the strength to overcome the weight of the spoon handles when closing. You have to wiggle the handle a little to help the latch snap into the strike plate. Is there a spring replacement available, or would it be better to check with the hardware store for a similar spring? Respectfully, Dale Polansky

Can you remove the part you need from the door? It sounds like you may need a new mortise lock, but without seeing, there's no telling.
