the part you show looks identical but the latch shows opposite. is it possible they have left or right hand opening.

Yes, the Swisco 40-049 Mortise Lockset can be used for either left or right hand door. To change the latch from left to right (or right to left), loosen up the latch nose and turn it to the correct swing.

I need a replacement handle for my storm door. It's an emtek part with number 322 at bottom. registration number 04149794538 371

I looked at the measurements on the handle and the 81/8 dimention on mine is 71/8 closer to 71/16
