exchanging this sash cam for a metal one?

Hi there, I have Milgard vinyl single hung windows and just replaced about 8 of these sash cams. I saw an aluminum one on your website and was wondering if I could use these instead?

Wondering if this would work as replacement, seems more durable than my bendy plastic ones

Hey there,

Thanks for your post! The 18-065 would not be interchangeable with the existing top sash guide in your window. If this is becoming damaged, it is likely the channel balances will need to be replaced.

The top sash guide you have is the 18-171 Stepped Sash Guide.
