extra arm on crank operator

A home owner from Colorado says:
I have awning windows in my house with Getty operators. They seem to match the 39-002 operators, but there is an extra arm attached to it. Someone forced the window closed from the outside and broke off the top bracket where the operator attaches to the window frame, so it doesn't function properly.
User submitted a photo of a window operator.

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
Good morning! I agree, our 39-002 appears to be the best match. We don't have that extra arm, so the only thing I can suggest is that you find a way to rivet the old one onto the 39-002.
A home owner from CO says:
I'd probably have to cut that button off, drill it and figure out how to attache the extra arm. My operator has a screw that hold the arm in, which I consider just swapping out my arm on the new operator, but it doesn't look like I can remove the arm from the 39-002.

Yeah, getting the arm out of the 39-002 won't be easy. It would be best to try to re-rivet that extra arm onto the tip of our 39-002.
