fasteners for 26-193, 26-194

Question

I plan on replacing broken internal latch with surface mounted latch and looks like this model is best fit 26-193. I am concerned 3/4 inch screws will be too long for my very thin sash. What model/brand/size shorter than 3/4 screws do you recommend to go with 26-193 latch?

I can't really say what will work, it depends on the sash more than the latch. If you have at least one of your old screws, you can take it in to a local hardware store to have them match it up. I can tell you that you want a #8 screw like our 33-020, but I can't really tell you what length you need.
