folding handle for casement

Home Owner from Moorestown NJ
I have two casement windows that use the foldout hardware shown in the photo. One is good, but for the second window I am missing the crank and also the piece that fits over the gear. Could I use the Truth foldout handle for this, even if it did not fold nicely into the base? How difficult would it be to replace the entire handle assembly with a new Truth Folding Handle and Cover Kit? (I am not sure how the old one would be removed.)

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Hello. In looking at your photo, I am thinking our 39-375 truth handle with cover would make a better choice since your piece looks more to be offset rather than a centered handle. We really recommend replacing both the cover and handle at the same time. I wouldn't recommend mixing or matching in any way.

To remove it, you would first disconnect the handle from the operator spline and then the cover should just pop off. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
