foot security lock

Question

Hi. Just moved in and foot security lock on my sliding patio door is not functioning. I can not seem to find a replacement.  The label on the door reads MFR: SIL-1.  SERIES: 5500-5700. TYPE: SLIDING GLASS DOOR. In the past I have experience with Andersen and their foot lock, which is awesome but I don't believe it will work with this door. Or will it?  Thank you for your help. Thanks for contacting us, Mary. It sounds like you may have had the 82-029 foot lock that was used on vinyl patio doors. Unfortunately, that part is no longer available. I would suggest taking a look at our 80-006 patio door bar along with the related information. This could be a way to secure your patio door. Look over the part and get back to us with some thoughts.
