framed shower door leak

Quick Learner from Philadelphia PA
Hi,

Due to a shower pan repair my shower enclosure was removed and reinstalled. During the process, the workmen removed the slot on the bottom of the door, saying it was rusted, so I can't install a new sweep. I now have severe leaking at the bottom of the shower door. Their solution was to install a weatherizing sweep on the outside of the door. Not a great solution, since it only collects water and dumps it on the floor. I have never had a drip rail on the inside of my door. As you may be able to see in the pictures, there is a channel below the door. Do you think the shower sweep with drip rail will work for me?

Looks like you have a framed glass door, so you should have room to screw on a bottom shower door sweep with a drip rail like our 10-324. I would install it on the inside of the door facing the shower. If your frame already has holes, then you can drill new holes in the sweep itself to match up.
