this is the strip that seals the gap between the 2 slider windows when they are closed. it fits in the vertical groove in the stationary window.it is 42.5'' long. i need new gaskets

We don't sell a bubble seal exactly like this, unfortunately. However I think our 58-053 is worth considering. The shape is a little different but it seems to me like your old seal works on the same principle; the kerf pushes into a slot for installation and the bubble forms the seal.
My recommendation now is to look over our dimensions and compare them to your original seal. See how well they compare. You can also order a sample of our 58-053 from this page. That way you can try it out without committing to a purchase.

a sample might be worth trying. is your "sample" a 25 foot long piece? i didn't see any other choices.

No, 25' is the size of a full purchase of the 58-053. Our samples are just a couple inches long, if that, but long enough to confirm whether or not it will install in the window.
