glass patio door lock

A home owner from NJ says:

My glass patio door is 20 years old. Although the doof works fine the door does not lock. looks like the spring inside the lock is broken.

The door was manufactured by MW Manufacturers Inc, who I believe is out of buisness. My understanding is it is builders grade.

Sounds like it could be a problem with the mortise. We may be able to help, but in order to advise you further I will require photos of the hardware in question; specifically the handle and mortise to start, but I may need more information depending on what I see.

A quick learner from NJ says:

Thanks! So that mortise is a match for our 82-227. I feel confident that this will fit in your door. Assuming that the spring inside the old lock is all that broke then you should be good to go!
