glazing bead/replacement handle for full glass storm door

Contractor from Lubbock, Texas
I am looking for 6ft of glazing bead for a full glass storm door and also a replacement handle. Attached are pictures of both. The glazing bead is approximately 3/4 in by 1/2 in.

Hello! Your exact style handle isn't available anymore, but I believe our 40-049 can work for you as a substitute. Look over our dimensions and see what you think.

As for the bead, that looks like a retainer strip for the glass. These are hard to come by. The reason is, every different manufacturer has their own idea how this strip should be designed, and even the same company will release a bunch of styles for whatever reason. It's hard to keep up.

The good news is, you don't need the whole strip to keep the glass in the door. You could cut your existing strip into equal sized pieces and distribute them evenly around the frame. That should work just as well for you.

THANKS FOR THE REPLY. THAT IS A GREAT SUGGESTION ABOUT THE BEAD-NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT MYSELF. I AM A NOVICE AT DOING SOME OF THIS TYPE OF WORK, SO I AM SO GLAD WHEN SOMEONE GIVES ME A GREAT SUGGESTION. THE CURRENT DOOR KNOB IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT SIZE. IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME MEASURE ACCORDING TO THE OUTSIDE HANDLE VIEW DIMENSIONS. THE EXISTING HANDLE'S INSIDE DIMENSIONS ARE A LITTLE SHORTER THAT THE 40-049 FOR THE TOTAL LENGTH AND THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE SCREW HOLES. BUT THE DISTANCE FROM THE TOP OF THE PLATE TO THE HANDLE IS EXACTLY THE SAME. IM GOING TO TAKE MY CHANCES AND ORDER IT. I GUESS IF IT DOESNT FIT, I CAN RETURN IT.

Sounds good to me! You can return it, yes. See our return policy for more information. Please let us know if it works or not. If not, we'll do our best to find a better option.
