glazing for single sash

A quick learner from Las Vegas says:
Hello. I think I need to replace the glass in my single sash window. Apparently, that isn't possible without removing the entire structure from the frame of the house? Should I replace the window glass? It seems as though that would be easier than the mess and effort in repairing the interior and exterior walls. The only marking on the window lock mechanism is GA. This website seems to have information on that brand.

Paul from SWISCO responded:

We believe your glass is held in by a vinyl glazing strip, like our 55-161. You would remove the vinyl strip and carefully remove the glass from the metal window frame. Usually they applied an adhesive to the frame so the glass sticks to the window.
