handle for screen door

I order a replacement part for sliding door but it is too large for the mortise already in the door. Please see the attachement picture of the part I am trying to replace.

have you taken a look at the 83-003 Patio Screen Handle Assembly? It looks like a close match. Be sure to compare the screw hole center measurements (3-1/4") and the height and width of the 83-003 to your original.
