Thanks for reaching out to us. We don't sell a handle with 4" hole center spacing. Can you double-check that for us? Make sure to measure from the center of each hole. Could we also see a photo of the mortise lock?
I'm afraid we don't sell a handle with that kind of hole center spacing either. However, your mortise lock reminds me of the 82-218 which is commonly used with handle sets that measure 3-15/16" on the installation hole centers. Your measurement is very close to this so it couldn't hurt to triple-check.
If it is indeed 3-15/16", take a look at the specifications for the 82-030 and see what you think.
