My tired unit is brass with a key lock. I wish to replace it, can you help with an exact match for the holes in my sliding door?

Thanks for posting! Your door latch appears to be in a centered position, so the best replacement option would be the 82-030A Centered Keyed Handle Set. You'll need to confirm the distance between the installation holes to determine if this is the right fit for the door.
This set is available in beige, black, or white.
Do I need to order the mortise lock also? It looks like that is a separate part. Thanks for helping me.

The mortise lock is sold separately from the set. Unfortunately, I would not be able to determine if you need it or not. You'd need to examine it to confirm if it might need to be replaced.
If so, I believe you may need the 82-226 Mortise Lock but you'll need to compare the dimensions to see if this is the right replacement match.
